This regulation provides that the employer must pay monthly to the joint committee an amount equivalent to 0.50% of its monthly payroll calculated in accordance with article 4 of the Act to promote the development and recognition of workforce skills (chapter D-8.3) and that this deduction must be transmitted at the same time as the monthly report to the joint committee.
This deduction, which is assumed 100% by the employer, will be added to the deduction currently in place, which will bring the total to 1.0% for the employer and 0.50% for the employee. It must also appear on the monthly report for March 2025 (required by April 15, 2025).
In a constantly evolving environment, where technologies and regulations change rapidly, it is essential that professionals in the petroleum sector are constantly trained and informed. A cooperative training program will centralize educational resources and guarantee that all members have access to quality training, adapted to the specific needs of the industry.
The key benefits of this initiative are:
- Attraction for future candidates and retention of our know-how;
- Improvement of skills;
- Standardization of practices;
- Resource sharing
The establishment of this program will be done with the help of recognized partners such as the Center for the Development of Teaching Means of Quebec (CEMEQ) as well as the Service aux Entreprises - Center du Québec (SAE).
Rest assured that we will keep you regularly informed about the deployment of the training and how it works.
